Enrollment In HBCUs Rises After SCOTUS’ Decision On Race-Based Admission

Black student enrollment at HBCUs increases following Supreme Court’s race-based admissions decision, while enrollment at private white institutions drops. Supreme Court ruling impacts 50 institutions, reducing or eliminating $45m in race-conscious scholarships. HBCU enrollment up 4%, with several universities reporting larger freshman classes.
