Report Finds That Affirmative Action Only Led to Incremental Progress

Georgetown University report reveals marginal diversity gains at selective colleges despite affirmative action. Hispanic/Latino, Black/African American, and American Indian/Alaska Native students made up 37% of college-age population but only 21% of selective college enrollments in 2019. White and Asian American/Pacific Islander students, 60% of college-age population, represented 73% of enrollments at selective institutions.
