President Biden’s American Climate Corps (ACC) offers paid opportunities for young Americans to combat climate change, learning skills such as solar panel installation, wildfire fighting, and wetland rebuilding. The ACC, a modern version of President Roosevelt’s Civilian Conservation Corp, aims to train a new generation of workers in clean energy and climate resilience sectors. Unlike its predecessor, the ACC prioritizes equity and environmental justice, aiming to benefit disadvantaged communities. The program plans to employ 20,000 people in its first year and 200,000 within five years.
