A new report by Echo Delta found that politics play a role in college selection for prospective students. The study, based on a survey of over 1,000 high school juniors and seniors, revealed that political concerns account for about 20% of the decision-making process, with one in four students expressing concerns about attending college in a specific state based on its politics. The report also highlighted students’ fears of harassment, not belonging, and personal safety when considering colleges in states with differing political climates.
